How to Succeed at University

This is the course web page for the course How to Succeed at University. Studying this course material, and taking action on the exercises on a consistent, daily basis, will help you succeed at university.

What you will get from this course: Completing this course will provide you with all the skills and habits that you will need to succeed in a university program and beyond. I emphasize the “beyond” part: If you develop good habits and skills now, you will be well-served in your pursuit of a career once you graduate from university. The world is a much more difficult place nowadays then it was when I graduated from high school in 1976. It is quite possible, alas, to just drift along and get a high-school diploma, but just drifting along typically leads to high stress and failure at university, and does not set you up for success beyond university. What does set you up for success, both at university and beyond, is to develop yourself. The fast pace of university means that there is no time to develop yourself then; you have to develop yourself now. If you do so, then you will graduate from university with more than just a piece of paper; you will have developed yourself into a superior person, the kind that will be successful in this difficult world we now live in.

You will also have the opportunity to practice your new habits and skills throughout the course, and to get feedback on your practice so that you will know what you have to work on to improve. This course will help you to prepare for the fast pace of university courses.
